Who Killed JFK? From Coast To Coast

A recent progam was in the Newslwtter from Coast to coast AM.
" Who Killed JFK?

As we prepare for the 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination, author and columnist Jerome Corsi discussed his extensive research into the killing of Kennedy on Tuesday's show. The ballistics evidence proves that more than one shooter was involved, and that the lone gunman theory is false, he said. When Kennedy was brought into the Parkland Hospital after the shooting, the doctors recorded an entrance wound in the front of the head. But in examining frames from the end of the Zapruder film, when the car was about to go under the underpass, you can see the back of JFK's head is blown out. Lee Harvey Oswald, shooting supposedly from the Book Depository, was positioned behind Kennedy, and therefore couldn't have been the only shooter, Corsi stated. "A shot from the front means there was two shooters at least."

One reason for JFK's assassination was that he wouldn't go along with an arranged New World Order, and refused to use the US military to support business interests, and he planned to dismantle the CIA, Corsi outlined. He named Allen Dulles, the former head of the CIA, as one of the planners of the JFK assassination and detailed how that in addition to Dallas, there were 2 other attempts to kill the President in November 1963. One was in Tampa, and the other in Chicago, and they both involved a "patsy" who would be found in possession of a high-powered rifle with scope.

The model for the JFK assassination was developed in the Eisenhower administration with the coup d'etat in Guatemala, engineered by E. Howard Hunt and carried out by the CIA in 1954 and 1957, he revealed. Lyndon Johnson was also culpable in the killing, Corsi contended, noting that he was embroiled in scandals that Kennedy was about to expose, which would have sunk LBJ's political career.

Harry Potter Fans To Be "Saved"!

The Rev. Bob Larson has sent his trio of female exorcists to Great Britain in order to rescue Harry Potter readers from evil. This is another money-making ploy by the infamous 'holy man' from the US. Manipulating young girls minds to believe they’re invincible against evil is not only dangerous...but criminal. Charles Manson could have learned a thing or two from this guy. The following article details the current scheme:

They're stunning American teens with black belts in karate, and spend their weekends battling demons.

No, it's not the plot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer - this wholesome trio are actually professional exorcists, and have come to London with a suitcase full of Bibles and Holy Water, intent on banishing the Capital's dark forces.
'The spells you are reading about are not made up,' adds Tess. 'They are real and come from witchcraft.'

While filming, he joined them at work in the Ukraine, and afterwards in London where he captured an exorcism meeting on camera.

Guided by their trainer, Brynne's father the Reverend Bob Larson, the women are seen apparently banishing a demon from Beth Wragg, a former Anglican chaplain, in London's East End.

Though Bob says he is guided by God and has cast out more than 15,000 demons, sceptics claim he is preying on the vulnerable in a bid to sell his books, DVDs and 'crosses of deliverance' - a tool of the trade.

There's also the question of donations. While attendance at the exorcism meetings is free, the cleric requests a £200 contribution for private sessions.

Reverend Bob compares his work to medical treatment, and told the Sunday Express: 'People pay thousands to go to drug rehab or for a psychiatrist but there is this idea that spirituality should be free. It is not uncommon for a pastor in America to make up to a million dollars a year. I can assure you we are nowhere near that.'

Though she believes her role as an exorcist is a divine calling, Bob's daughter Brynne has decided to return to the States to study for a degree at Liberty University in Virginia. Ultimately, she hopes to work in international business.

Discussing his documentary, Dan Murdoch admits 'I don't believe in exorcisms after doing the documentary but I do believe in the power of belief after what I've seen,' he says. - Daily Mail

Brynne Larson, 18, and sisters Tess and Savannah Scherkenback, aged 18 and 21, are determined to rescue

London's youngsters from evil spirits, which they say they are inviting to possess them by reciting the spells in the Harry Potter books.

The threesome, from Arizona, believe the spells in J.K. Rowling's best-selling fantasy series are real, and dangerous.

In fact, they see Britain as a hotbed of occult activity whose origins go back to pagan times.

Savannah explains: 'It has been centuries in the making, but I believe it came to a pinnacle with the Harry Potter books.'

he has doubts about the team's demon-smiting mission.

Was It A Priest Or An Angei?

Mysterious 'Angel Priest'

A mysterious Catholic priest showed up to the site of a car crash in Missouri on Sunday, with witnesses saying he offered a blessing before disappearing just as quickly as he arrived.

But those at the site of the crash, including a number of rescue workers, are now at a loss after realizing no one knows the identity of the mysterious holy man who does not appear in any of the nearly 70 photographs taken at the scene of the accident.

"I think it's a miracle," Raymon Reed and other rescue workers spent 45 minutes attempting to remove 19-year-old college student Katie Lentz from the wreckage, to no avail. While Lentz was conscious and communicating with authorities, they said her vital signs were quickly dropping.

Rescue workers were left with little choice other than to turn the flipped car over. But such a move posed a potentially life-threatening injury to the young woman, who subsequently asked for someone to pray with her.

And that’s when the mysterious priest reportedly appeared, saying “I will,” praying with Lentz and some of the rescue workers and sprinkling the young woman with oil.

Reed and his team then turned the car over and freed Lentz, who was taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital.

But when Reed and other emergency workers tried to find the priest to thank him, he had already left the scene.

"We all go back to thank this priest and he's gone," Reed said.

The man was described as being in his late 50s and dressed in full priest’s garb.

Past Lives and Interlives on C2C

"On Wednesday's show, the founder of Canada's leading hypnosis training facility and clinic, Georgina Cannon, discussed the power of hypnosis and how it can be used to access not only past lives, but 'interlives,' which have a profound impact on our well-being right now on the Earth plane. Hypnosis opens up access to the subconscious, and offers the chance to change its blueprint, she explained. Some 98% of the clients she's regressed have spoken of past lives, she added.

One of her most fascinating cases involved a woman in her 60s, who lost her memory at age 17, when she woke up and found herself bruised and scratched on a park bench, with no ID cards or purse. Over the years, no one could ever find a trace of her family, and she couldn't travel without papers. Cannon regressed her back to the womb, and she suddenly remembered her name, and that she was one of six children. A week later she was in touch with a sister from North Carolina who'd been looking for her for years.

In a number of cases, information about past lives has been able to be verified. She described one case of a woman who regressed back to a life as Pavlova, the ballet dancer, and was able to cite extremely specific details and addresses. However, the vast majority of past lives that people recall are that of ordinary rather than famous individuals, she noted. The therapeutic aspect of past life recall sometimes allows people to rid themselves of troubling psychological or physical problems by finding their root cause. Cannon, who suffered from migraines, was regressed during her initial training to a past life as a beleaguered midwife who lived in a cave. After a birth went awry, the midwife was attacked by a man with a rock, who hit the left side of her head-- the area where she experienced her migraines.

The interlife is the space between lives-- the place that the soul goes to work on issues, or to rest and recuperate before reincarnating (the shortest rebirth time was 18 months, she said). After discovering their purpose in the interlife, the soul then chooses their body and family, Cannon continued (for more on the interlife, check out this video clip). Ultimately her goal in working with clients is to help them focus on their current situation, and to lead a healthy and happy life. For those interested in a hypnotic regression-like experience and aren't able to get to a facilitator, she offers an mp3 " Soul Journey" at her website store.

Flight Prophecy American Fkight 191

In May 1979, 23 year old David Booth, a Cincinnati office manager, had a well documented premonition, that came to him in a series of vivid dreams, regarding an American Airline crash.

Booth feverishly called the FAA and spoke with a representative of American Airlines. He told them in no vague terms that he had had a vision of an airplane going down in flames among tall buildings. Obviously, there was nothing that could be done even though the authorities were eventually convinced of Booth's seriousness and that he wasn't just trying to pull a joke or be a pain in the butt.

On May 26, 1979 Lindsay Wagner-famous at the time as the Bionic Woman-arrived at Chicago's famous O'Hare Airport. She was to board an American Airlines jet, but canceled at the last minute due to a sudden sick feeling that left her nauseous without any explanation. David Booth was perhaps not the only person who had the ability to foresee trouble aboard that American Airlines DC-10. Shortly after takeoff an engine fell off the plane, causing it to crash into buildings. Everyone aboard died.

With a sickening feeling, the authorities compared the details of the crash to David Booth's premonition. Although never seriously suspected of complicity they had little choice but to make sure he hadn't had a hand in causing his remarkable feat of foretelling the future to come true. The comparisons were enough to send shivers up and down the spine of anyone reading them. For all intensive purposes, David Booth had predicted with astonishing accuracy the disaster that took place at O'Hare Airport that day. Even so, the question of whether anything could possible have been done to prevent that disaster were immediately rejected. It was the only time in his life that anything of this magnitude had ever taken place and his inability to do anything to prevent him left him emotionally fragile.

In the book Mystics, Visionaries, and Prophets: A Historical Anthology of Women's Spiritual Writings it states "David Booth stopped having nightmares once the disaster had happened, but he continued to feel disturbed by the whole affair. 'How can you make sense of something like that?' he asked. 'There's no explanation for it. No meaning. No conclusion. It just doesn't make sense.'" - voices.yahoo.com / answers.google.com

Toe Rings Are Nothing New!

Ancient Mummies Discovered With  Toe Rings
" Archaeologists have discovered two ancient Egyptian skeletons, dating back more than 3,300 years, which were each buried with a toe ring made of copper alloy, the first time such rings have been found in ancient Egypt.

The toe rings were likely worn while the individuals were still alive, and the discovery leaves open the question of whether they were worn for fashion or magical reasons.

Supporting the magical interpretation, one of the rings was found on the right toe of a male, age 35-40, whose foot had suffered a fracture along with a broken femur above it.

The male ancient Egyptian skeleton lived more than 3,300 years ago and died at the age of 35-40, before being buried with a ring on his right toe.

The findings do appear to be the first copper alloy toe rings discovered in ancient Egypt. "I'm not aware of any, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Bear in mind that if we found something like this in a house, for example, we would have no idea of its purpose,"Stevens wrote in an email toLiveScience.

A gold toe ring was previously found on a mummy named Hornedjitef, a priest at Karnak more than 2,200 years ago. The mummy, which resides at the British Museum, has a "thick gold ring on the big toe of his left foot," writes anthropologist Joyce Filer in her book "The Mystery of the Egyptian Mummy" (British Museum Press, 2003).

He "showed signs of multiple antemortem [before his death] fractures, including of several ribs, the left radius, right ulna, right foot (on which the toe ring was found) and right femur," Stevens wrote. "The fracture of the right femur healed at an angle and must have caused this individual considerable ongoing pain."

The ring was placed on the toe of the injured foot, suggesting perhaps it was intended as a magical healing device of sorts.

"The act of 'binding' or 'encircling' was a powerful magical device in ancient Egypt, and a metal ring, which can be looped around something, lends itself well to this kind of action," Stevens said. "This is a possibility that we will look into further, checking through sources such as the corpus of magico-medical spells that have survived from ancient Egypt, to look for parallels."....

However, the skeleton of the second individual with the toe ring, found in 2012, bore no visible signs of a medical condition. Stevens notes that this individual has yet to be studied in depth by bio-archaeologists and its sex is unknown.

The White Owl

By Chris Holly - My experience with the paranormal started when I was a small child. I have partial memories of strange events happening going back to age three or four. I have clear recall of odd encounters from about the age of seven on. I also recall something else that I never connected with my experiences with the unknown until I read about it on the internet by others who shared the same experience.

Of course this can be attributed to the fact that I was raised and by choice also as an adult always lived in a country or suburban area that included lots of trees and open land. That is why I never thought it was odd, in fact I thought everyone saw them all the time as I did, until I started to ask around that is.

Owls, I always saw and heard owls, mainly white owls, wherever I lived. As a child I had a beautiful white owl that would visit me outside my bedroom window at night. From 1958 until I was a teen I lived in Great River, New York.

We lived a in a large two story home with my bedroom on the second floor facing a wooded area in the back of the house. At night while waiting to fall asleep in my bed I would hear an owl hoot away. Often being a kid I would crawl to my window that was next to my bed and try to make a hooting sound back. I would look out my window where I would see a beautiful white owl perched on a big old oak tree that stood outside my bedroom window. As a country kid at the time I did not think anything about this. I told my parents who said: “That’s nice” and we all went about life without much fanfare concerning the large white owl constantly outside my bedroom window. My parents had a bunch of kids and my guess is that they were not listening or believing me when I told them about the owl. Once as an adult I questioned my mother who was by then in her 80s about that owl and she told me she remembered me mentioning it a few times but thought I was confused and it was just a dove or something. I thought that was odd but my mother was not one to investigate things so that explanation did fit with her personality.

When my mother realized I was actually seeing a white owl all those times as a child she looked at me sort of shocked and admitted she never really believed that it was true. A lesson for us all I suppose is to listen to our kids and look when they report seeing something. After asking a friend who worked for a large state park that was backed up to the hamlet of Great River I found out that not many white owls were seen in that area at that time. That did not change the fact I saw one and heard one nearly every night for many years while growing up on the river.

I still did not think much about any of this or how odd it might be. My life continued as did my connection with owls. I recall seeing white owls in every house I lived my entire life. Once when I was in my 30s and living in East Islip, New York close to where I lived as a child I gave a holiday party in December for my friends. I had a large window on the side of my living room facing my driveway which was lined with trees. One of my friends walked over to the window as it had started to lightly snow when she yelped: “Oh my god look at this giant white owl!” The people attending my party all ran over to look out the window and there on a branch close to the window sat a large absolutely beautiful large white owl. It sat there on the gray tree limb with snow falling gently around it looking more like an oil painting than a real creature. My guests were fascinated by the owl as it was the first white owl they had ever seen one up close and could not get over how it simply sat there staring back through the window at us. My group of friends stood looking at this owl in silence until one of them broke the silence by asking if the owl was “creeping anyone else out?” A few of my friends admitted they had an uncomfortable feeling as the owl peered through the window at them. I thought it was strange they had never seen a white owl before and equally strange they thought it was creepy. I had seen them literally all my life including a few times at the house I was in when this event at the party happened. I thought everyone on Long Island saw white owls all the time. It was at that party that I realized it was not a frequent event for other people.

I was fully aware that I experienced strange events in my life that other people did not however it was really not until that party that I understood seeing white owls may be part of the other high strangeness that occurred during my life time. I thought hard about it and did come up with a few times I clearly recalled the visits from an owl coincided with a time I encountered a lost time event or was witness to either an orb or unidentified craft in the sky. Still I could not fully connect the owls and the events.

Once in the 1970s while living in Schweinfurt, Germany I was walking home alone from the town markets to the apartment building I was living in at the time. It was early fall and it was that time of day just before nightfall when it is just sort of still and gray. I was walking along a tree lined street carrying my bags of food for that night’s dinner when I heard the familiar hoot of an owl. I looked up and there in a tree next to where I was walking sat a large owl. He was not as white as the owls I usually saw but he was big and did have many white feathers. He looked at me and I looked at him and I kept on walking. There were not many other people out and about that day so I picked up my speed and nearly ran home with my bundles. I did think at the time that seeing this owl was a bit strange but I did not know what to do about it. About 3 weeks or so after seeing that owl I had a very strange event occur with another lost time event along with a run in in my apartment building with extremely strange beings. Now years later I finally understand that all of these things may be connected.

I have been reading on the internet that others who have witnessed UFO ‘s or who have had abduction events take place in their lives also have been known to see owls a few have seen white owls or connect owls to those experiences.

I have read many things concerning seeing owls from it being a warnings or type of message as well as being connected to alien abduction. The fact I have suffered from many lost time events in my life and have seen unidentified crafts in my past does give me pause when I think about how I have seen white owls my entire life too. I know now if I run across another owl to take extreme precautions to prevent in any way I can from having another lost time event or strange experience as frankly I have had my quota and do not intend to have any more. I will use a sighting of an owl as my warning to take action and trust me I will do all I can to prevent another strange encounter.

I did not think too much about this until this past winter. I was sitting here in my office writing. My desk is against a large picture window overlooking a wooded section of my property. I was working away on my keyboard when something outside caught my attention. It was a bright moonlit night and I looked out where I sensed something moving . There in a tree a large magnificent white owl was sitting on a low tree branch looking back at me. I immediately called my husband who came in and watched as the owl looked at us as we stood at the window looking at the owl. My husband thought it was strange to see a white owl this far south but knew they did exist. I paid close attention to this visit and my family and I took extreme precautions with leaving lots of lights on inside and out at all times as well as making sure I was not alone or caught in a situation that could offer a time for me to find myself dealing with another lost time or strange event. We followed this lifestyle of precaution for a very long time and to date I have been without harm. I will trust the owls to warn me from now on as frankly what else can I do?

Stargazing & Edgar Cayce:
From Coast To Coast AM Newsletter

"James Mullaney discussed the metaphysical aspects of stargazing, discoveries in the universe, and the work of the "Sleeping Prophet" Edgar Cayce. He studied thousands of Cayce's readings, with a particular emphasis on what he wrote about the universe and the cosmos."There is no doubt in my mind...that he was tapping into the great intellect behind the universe," which he referred to as the Akashic records, Mullaney commented. Cayce had access to information that no one at that time even knew about, and was far beyond his limited education, such as his assertion that the Asteroid Belt was caused by a kind of planetary collision or disruption, Mullaney noted.

Mullaney's new book Celebrating the Universe! ties in the spiritual with the scientific in looking at the celestial wonders of the night sky, and includes quotations from various visionaries, like Buckminster Fuller who said "love is metaphysical gravity." Mullaney related some staggering statistics about the cosmos, such as within the observable universe, a million new solar systems are being born every hour, and "there are more stars within reach of our largest telescopes today than all the grains of sand on all the beaches and deserts on the entire planet Earth."

He also shared an intriguing anecdote about the time he set up a telescope outside after a public lecture he gave in Lower Manhattan. A woman happened by, and asked to take a look, saying she'd never peered through a telescope before. Mullaney had it focused on the Pleiades star cluster, and when the woman saw it, she burst into tears, and said 'that is my home.'

Gnome Ghost?

Recently "My mother and grandmother swear this story is true. I found it a bit strange but interesting.

It's the summer of 1969, and my mom is 19 years old. Before I go any further, I know what you might be thinking. My mother doesn't do any drugs. Trust me.

So, anyway, the summer of '69 and my mom is sleeping in her room, which is off the kitchen. She stayed at my grandmothers sometimes while my father served over in Vietnam. She had the window open that night and heard something outside. She sat up and continued to listen. She was about to get up and look when she saw a little man crawl through. It didn't scare her for some reason, which I thought was strange. It walked up to the foot of her bed, climbed up and sat down with his legs hanging over the edge. My mom didn't do anything; she said she just stared at him. He looked like a gnome according to her description. At least that's what I came up with. He sat there trying to get comfortable and when he was finally situated, he reached in a little bag he was carrying and pulled out a pipe. He lit it, took a couple puffs, turned and faced her.

He said that he some bad news about my father, but not to worry, he was okay. He continued on that my father was in terrible trouble and that she will hear more about it in the morning. He tapped his pipe in his hand, jumped off the bed and crawled out the window. That's when it finally sank in my mom's head, of what just happened, and she decided to call out for my grandmother. My grandmother came in turned the light on and asked her what was wrong. As my mom explained, my grandmother, not paying attention to my mother, noticed smoke lingering in the room and asked if she'd been smoking. My mom told her the story again. My grandmother didn't believe her.

The next morning, my mother got a phone call from the Army and said that my father was injured in an attack and would home in about 10 days. My grandmother believed her then.

I asked my mom why she thought it was a ghost. She said that was because she could see through him. I thought ghosts could float or whatever, why did this 'ghost gnome' have to crawl through an open window? She didn't know. - Anonymous"

Real Life Experiences of an Exorcist

Terrifying tales of a real-life exorcist

In a lifetime dealing with the supernatural, he says he has seen things that cannot be explained, including ornaments flying through walls and bodiless voices calling to him from beyond the grave

It has been dismissed by sceptics who believe it is the stuff of Hollywood horror movies rather than real life.

But when Pope Francis stopped to lay hands on a disabled boy last week some believe he shone a new light on the mysterious world of exorcism.

And while many people believe it has no place in modern society, there are still ministers across Britain who insist that they are casting out evil spirits.

Reverend Tom Willis is the UK’s leading exorcist – a man who has been called in to tackle poltergeists and the possessed for the past 50 years.

In a lifetime dealing with the supernatural, he says he has seen things that cannot be explained, including ornaments flying through walls and bodiless voices calling to him from beyond the grave.

And at the age of 82, the Church of England minister is still in demand around the world from people who want his help to destroy what they believe are evil spirits.

His expertise is so valued in Britain that even the police call on him.

Rev Willis says: “The people who come to me are really frightened. I’ve even had atheists tell me, ‘I don’t believe in ghosts but I can’t explain what is happening’.”

He adds: “I always say, ‘you don’t get possessed just walking to the supermarket’. You have to look for a reason why it should have happened. Often, people have dabbled quite strongly in evil.”

Rev Willis found his spooky vocation while working as a minister in York.

When a parishioner asked for help dealing with her haunted house – something Rev Willis says is more common than people think – he discovered he had a gift for restoring peace.

Since then he’s found himself in some strange and scary situations – including the time he helped rid a medium of a powerful evil spirit.

Rev Willis says the man approached him after giving a speech about the supernatural.

The stranger kept tapping his shoulder and talking to an invisible companion. Rev Willis was unsure if the medium was pretending... until the conversation took an unexpected turn.

The reverend says: “When I mentioned the blood of Christ, his voice changed. He said, ‘don’t talk about that’ and started shaking and rubbing himself. At that point I thought ‘you really have got something evil in you’.”

Rev Willis is part of the international exorcist community and has heard some startling stories on his travels. Like the time one of his colleagues was asked to perform an exorcism in India on a girl who couldn’t speak.

“The colleague told me that when he blessed her she began to shake,” he explains. “He asked the girl what her name was and although she didn’t usually talk, a weird voice said, ‘I am stubbornness’.

“He commanded the evil to depart and she fell back. He went on down the line, blessing people. Then when he looked back she had started singing hymns in her normal language.”

Rev Willis is often called on to rid a haunted house of ghosts.

He had a particularly chilling experience when he went to the home of a policeman who feared that his home had become possessed.

As Rev Willis sat with the officer and his family, ornaments suddenly started to move.

“I couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” he says.

“After 10 minutes the father said, ‘the dog ornament has gone again’. I looked at the mantelpiece and it had.

Then I heard a thump in the kitchen and said ‘nobody move’. I went to take a look and the ornament was there on the kitchen floor. It had gone right through a brick wall.”

Speaking about the continuing demand for his services – including from the authorities – he says: “I still get a couple of calls a week. The police say ‘we think this one is more your field of expertise’.”

Rev Willis has encountered his fair share of sceptics over the decades but he says that he is convinced by what he has witnessed.

He adds that one in 10 people will claim to see a ghost during their lifetime.

Now one of his four daughters is documenting his spooky experiences for a book which will feature

Now one of his four daughters is documenting his spooky experiences for a book which will feature the strangest cases he has dealt with.

And while he’s happy to talk about some of the frightening episodes, he is keen to point out that not every claim is genuine.

He says some of the reports of hauntings and possessions are made by attention seekers as well as people with mental health problems.

Rev Willis knows that some people dismiss every claim about evil spirits but he says what the Pope did in the Vatican eight days ago has sparked a much-needed debate about the subject.

The Pontiff touched the head of a boy who then convulsed and slumped in his wheelchair.

Some say it was an exorcism, though the Vatican has denied it.

Even so, Rev Willis says: “This Pope and the last have encouraged the ministry of exorcism and set up conferences and colleges because it is a problem that is brought to them.”

This means exorcists like Rev Willis will continue to be called into action, tending to the spiritual needs of their flocks and the wider population.

It isn’t always an easy task but the minister says the strength of his faith continues to guide him.

It can be uncomfortable if I lay my hands on someone for healing and they growl at me in a weird voice,” he explains. “And I might bring another couple of priests in to help me.

“In the end, I know evil exists but it is afraid of good. I need to be wary of it but I should not be afraid. That is what my work is all about.” - Mirror

Priest Speaks OF Demonic Possessions

Father Andrew Wingate,  discussed exorcism and claims by the Catholic Church's top exorcist, Father Gabriele Amorth, that he rid the world of 160,000 demons. Commenting on the extraordinarily large number Amorth asserts, Wingate pointed out that a thorough exorcism can evict as many as 50 to 60 demons and devils from a possessed individual. Not every priest can or should be an exorcist, he continued, noting the need for certain natural instincts and how much is involved in performing an exorcism. Wingate shared a story about a bishop who got careless with an exorcism and was himself possessed. Individuals can open themselves up to possession by playing with tarot cards or Ouija boards, he warned. According to Wingate, untrained priests can use a particular kind of incense to drive out demons and devils. If the smoke can be seen or smelled, evil cannot be present, he revealed, adding that this method frees a person from possession for 11 days so they can repent. Should the formerly possessed individual not turn to God, the evil forces come back and take over, he cautioned.

Big Foot Little One Wants To Learn?

Teachers at Mathiba Primary School in Maun had to abruptly end classes last week Friday after students reported seeing a hairy little creature.

Regional Director for North West District in the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, Acro Maseko said that they had to send students back home after Standard 6 and 7 students claimed to have seen ‘a black little hairy creature which resembled a human being.’

The incident which happened around 12 noon culminated in ten students treated for shock at a local clinic and released the same day.

“We will be holding prayers in the school soon after meeting parents and chiefs but for now we had asked for professional councillors to help. “

Maseko further said that although teachers did not see anything, students screamed and ran amok while others fainted which made it hard for classes to continue with classes on that day.

“Standard 7 students are about to startr exams and events of such nature which spark mass hysteria sometimes happen to them in this area,” a teacher said.

When quizzed about past incidents, Maseko said that he was new in the area and was not familiar with past incidents. - The Voice BW

Is Ted Bundy Back?

I'm a resident of UCI in Bradford Co, FL. serving a life sentence. For many years I heard the rumors of Ted Bundy's ghost appearing and didn't believe it. Now, my mind has changed. I and other residents (including staff) have witnessed the ghost on many occasions. It is definitely Bundy. It comes in the early morning before dawn in our housing unit and in different cells. He's always smiling. It's a white-blue mist but very detailed. Some of the other residents claim to hear him talking. I have not heard that yet. Any suggestions on how this can be taken care of?

In 2008, the reports coming from the prison were very strange. It appeared that the ghost of Ted Bundy showed up and terrorized prison guards and inmates. A guard who asked not to be identified said that Bundy's ghost appeared in the area where he was executed and in his former cell where he spent his last hours before being put into Florida's electric chair.

Up until the end Bundy tried to save his life by offering to tell where more bodies were buried, but eventually officials refused to give him any more time and he was executed. The 2008 reports of his ghost leaked out of the prison. It was reported that the Warden's staff even threatened to fire guards if they spread the story of Ted's ghost being at the prison. It is also rumored that some guards were scared into quitting their jobs because of Bundy's spectre.

Stone Age people may have battled against a zombie apocalypse

The zombie apocalypse may be much more than a plot device exploited by modern horror movies. In fact, fears about the walking dead may go back all the way to the Stone Age.

Archaeologists working in Europe and the Middle East have recently unearthed evidence of a mysterious Stone Age "skull-smashing" culture, according to New Scientist. Human skulls buried underneath an ancient settlement in Syria were found detached from their bodies with their faces smashed in. Eerily, it appears that the skulls were exhumed and detached from their bodies several years after originally being buried. It was then that they were smashed in and reburied separate from their bodies.

According to Juan José Ibañez of the Spanish National Research Council in Barcelona, the finding could suggest that these Stone Age "skull-smashers" believed the living were under some kind of threat from the dead. Perhaps they believed that the only way of protecting themselves was to smash in the corpses' faces, detach their heads and rebury them apart from their bodies.

But here's the creepy thing: many of the 10,000-year-old skulls appear to have been separated from their spines long after their bodies had already begun to decompose. Why would this skull-smashing ritual be performed so long after individuals had died? Did they only pose a threat to the living long after their original burial and death?

If it was a ritualistic exercise, it also raises questions about why only select corpses were chosen. All of the smashed skulls were from adult males between the ages of 18 and 30. Furthermore, there was no trace of delicate cutting. It appears that the skulls' faces were simply smashed in using brute force with a stone tool.

Of course, there's almost certain to be a rational explanation for all of this. Then again, it's also fun to consider the possibility that these findings represent evidence for a Stone Age zombie uprising.

Let's consider a few key facets of zombie mythology. Zombies, as we know, are hungry for the flesh of the living, and the only way to stop them is with a head shot. In many zombie movies, this involves shooting them in the cranium. One might surmise that the Stone Age equivalent of this would be to instead smash in their faces with a big rock. Perhaps the lopping off of their heads was then performed to ensure that the job was done.

Perhaps the reason the original dead bodies seemed to be exhumed before their heads were properly smashed in was because the dead had risen from their own graves, under their own power.

Maybe, just maybe, Stone Age Syrians battled against and saved the world from an imminent zombie apocalypse some 10,000 years ago. The theory may not make great fodder for a scientific thesis, but it sets up the plotline for a B-grade horror movie to perfection.

Ibañez, not biting, operates with a cooler head. Being ever the sound researcher, he has proposed more tempered theories to explain the findings. For instance, it's possible that Stone Age people simply believed that they could absorb the strength of the dead young men by performing the ritual. This would help explain why all the skulls were from young men. It would also help to explain why the heads were buried directly underneath a thriving settlement. He also suggested the head-smashing could have been an act of revenge or spite.

A Tribute To Dr. Frank S Pittman III Friend And Mentor

I just found out yesterday that one of my favorite persons on the planet died in November 2012 with cancer. I joined Frank at Grady Hospital in Atlanta many years ago when he had begun as Chairman of the Psychiatry Department  there. His plan was to employ a Crisis Intervention Team to serve the area rather than open a new wing.It was a daunting task which he took on.It included convincing the Resident MDs of this novel interdisciplinary team functioning while all the team "learned" crisis intervention  skills with a family therapy focus. Psychiatry shared the Medical Emergency Room with the other disciplines. The patients often called this "Mother Grady" while the Residents usually called it "The Snake Pit." Needless to say it was a cauldron of unusual and serious situations. I was the first person he identified and hired as a Crisis Therapist.Psychiatric Social Workers and a Psychologist alon with another Attending Physucuan were hired as was another nurse. We evolved into two teams with each of us having an assigned Resident physician to work with as a co therapist during the experience at Grady.

He was an effective and fun administrator. We all struggled and learned. He set it up with supervision and support for each of the therapist twosomes. and the trams. He was actively there for us day or night(We covered the ER 24/7.,and the Outpatient as well as the Inpatient Services.Such varied experience could never happen many places. His good will and support led us all. In fact for many years after I left the team I sent him Mother's Day cards!

Beware Speeders! Riding Broomsticks!

"lBroomstick-flying witches to be brought down in Swaziland

MBABANE: Witches flying broomsticks in Swaziland above 150m will be subject to arrest and a hefty fine of R500 000, civil aviation authorities said yesterday.

Witches’ broomsticks are considered similar to any heavier-than-air transportation device that is airborne. The statute also forbids toy helicopters and children’s kites from ascending too high into the country’s airspace.

“A witch on a broomstick should not fly above the (150m) limit,” Civil Aviation Authority marketing and corporate affairs director Sabelo Dlamini said yesterday.

No penalties exist for witches flying below 150m.

How serious he was is hard to say. However, witchcraft isn’t a joking matter in Swaziland.

Dlamini was asked by the Swazi press to explain the country’s aviation laws following the arrest of a private detective, Hunter Shongwe, for operating a toy helicopter equipped with a video camera.

Shongwe boasted of using the device to gather surveillance information similar to the way a drone aircraft operates.

The detective was charged with operating an unregistered aircraft and for failing to appear beforeditional authorities about his toy drone, the first of its kind in Swaziland.

Swazi brooms are short, tied bundles of sticks, without handles, and Swazi witches are known to use them to fling potions about homesteads – but not for transport. – Independent Foreign Service

Do You "Blame" Sylvia Browne

I have long been a believer in Psychics proved credible. For years I supported Sylvia Browne reading her books and arguing at times with the many who doubtes her. This new development leaves me not as strong but ambivaleny about her. Note two other missing persons are reported as having been false as well. Now no psychic can claim all things to be accurate but these are HUGE mistakes for the effect on the family and community.
"s we all celebrate the safe return of 3 missing girls in Cleveland, it’s not all good news as a related death may have been prevented if not for a certain well known psychic.

As many of you know, I’m not a big fan of psychics. There are just too many charlatans out there and the bigger the name, the bigger the scam.

Now comes some very somber news from an otherwise joyous Tuesday as an old video of the Montel Williams Show has been dug up. On this particular episode in 2004, the mother of Amanda Berry, Louwanna Miller appealed to world famous psychic, Sylvia Browne for help in finding out what happened to her daughter. She was told her daughter was dead;"

So the mother went home cleaned out her daughters room and disposed of her things. One report says that the police and
fbi accepted Sulvias statements as true,(This does not often happen to my knowledge so wonder about this part!) The mother dies several months later. Many believe it from a  "Broken Heart" related to Stlvias news...What do you think?

Ghosts For Revenge

Jennifer Scelsi created the doc: "Spirits out for Revenge"on CSI Paranormal @facebook( Good site to visit or join.)
Some paranormal investigators call these  types of spirits avengers or revengers. This type of ghost returns to right a wrong or avenge a death. in other words , it is seeking some kind of justice.
For example, if the person is a victim of a murder and the killer hasn't been caught, the victim's spirit may return to reveal the murderer or exact some type of personal revenge against the attacker.

A ghost that is seeking revenge may appear at the scene of the crime until someone living understands that foul play may have occurred. The spirit may also make itself known to someone it knew and trusted while alive in order to get assistance in seeking that justice is served.
Spirits out for avenge feel that they've been wronged in some way while alive, and can  behave in a vengeful and hostile manner. These types of ghosts can be male or female, and it's possible they may appear in the same clothing they were in when they were alive.
In some cases they can appear as apparitions but can't speak and may try to communicate with the living through different means such as appearing very often at the place they died or were  killed. They may continue appearing to one or more living people they knew in life until that person or people realize that some type of foul play could have   uch ghosts can cause cold spots in rooms and sudden drops in temperature. They may also act in the same manner as a poltergeist and throw objects around rooms, slam doors and so on. In extreme cases, they can go much further. They can push people down stairs, in front of cars, or find anyway possible to cause physical harm and or emotional suffering to the person they feel has wronged them.

When a vengeful spirit goes as far as to try and harm someone physically, it wouldn't be uncommon for this type of spirit to be mistaken for a demon.
Ghosts out for revenge only have one goal and that's to make life miserable as possible for the person or people who,  for whatever reason, feel they deserve it.

In the News: What is Ricin

This week, letters bound for the White House and the office of Mississippi Senator Roger Wicker were intercepted and found to be laced with ricin. There was an arrest today. Here’s what you need to know about the toxin everyone is talking about.

WHAT IS IT AND WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?

Like some other scary poisons, ricin is naturally occurring. It’s a protein found in Ricinus communis, the castor oil plant. It can be extracted from the waste materials (the “mash” or “bean meal”) left over from castor oil processing and turned into a powder, pellet, or mist.

WHAT DOES IT DO, AND HOW BAD IS IT?

Ricin kills cells by shutting down their ribosomal RNA, part of the molecular machine that builds their proteins. As the cells die, a ricin poisoning victim experiences different symptoms depending on how they were exposed, usually starting within 6 to 12 hours.

If the ricin was inhaled, the victim is in for difficulty breathing, chest pains, coughing, nausea, a buildup of fluid in the lungs, and respiratory failure. If the poison was ingested or injected, the victim can experience diarrhea, bloody vomit and urine, seizures, and failure of the kidneys, liver, spleen and/or heart. Death from organ failure follows within 36 to 72 hours of exposure, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

It doesn’t take much of the stuff to wreak this kind of havoc either. The lethal dose for an adult is around 0.35 to 0.7 milligrams by inhalation (less than the mass of a single grain of sand) and between 1 and 20 mg per kilogram of body weight by ingestion (1mg/kg is about what you’d ingest if you ate a small handful of castor beans).YIKES. HOW DO YOU TREAT RICIN POISONING?

There’s no known antidote for ricin, so the best treatment is flushing it out of the body as quickly as possible while maintaining organ function and treating individual symptoms.
SCARY STUFF. WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR BESIDES TERRORIZING POLITICIANS?

Biomedical scientists have been experimenting with ricin as a cancer treatment for decades. The ricin protein is linked to an antibody to form an immunotoxin that attaches only to specific, targeted cells. Once the immunotoxin latches on to a cancer cell, the ricin does its thing.

Other than that, though, ricin is mainly for murder and mayhem. Maybe the most famous ricin victim was Georgi Markov, murdered in a scheme that seems right out of a spy novel. In 1978, the Bulgarian writer was waiting for a bus when he felt a stinging pain in the back of his leg. When he looked behind him, he saw a man with an umbrella. The man crossed the street, got in a cab and fled. Three days later, Markov was dead, murdered via a ricin-filled pellet injected into his leg by the modified umbrella. - Mental Floss

What Do You Believe?

"Americans and Their Conspiracy Theories

There’s just no polite way to put it.

There are big, entire parts of American society that believe in things that just aren’t true – and a recent national survey by Public Policy Polling only confirms it.

Name your conspiracy theory, and some segment of America believes it, the PPP survey found. The handful of news reports and blog posts on the PPP poll last week focused on the usual political subjects that always seem to float through the Internet ether.

About a fifth of Republican voters believe President Barack Obama is the anti-christ, for instance. Three quarters of Democrats believe former President George W. Bush’s administration lied about weapons of mass destruction in the run up to the Iraq war, while three quarters of Republicans don’t. A third of Republicans believe a New World Order is about to take over, while more than a fifth of Democrats believe Saddam Hussein was involved in 9/11. Despite a consensus among scientists, a significant number of Republican voters don’t believe climate change is real.
“Even crazy conspiracy theories are subject to partisan polarization, especially when there are political overtones involved,” said PPP President Dean Debnam. “But most Americans reject the wackier ideas out there about fake moon landings and shape-shifting lizards.”

Well, maybe. But there were some pretty astounding things in the survey:

– 6 percent of voters (who haven’t, apparently, yet seen “Zero Dark Thirty”) think Osama bin Laden is still alive.

– Despite decades of research that says otherwise, 51 percent of Americans believe there was a conspiracy at work in the JFK assassination.

– Nearly a third of Americans believe aliens exist and are, presumably, visiting Earth, and 25 percent don’t know if it’s true or not – which means that this particular conspiracy theory is mainstream, not part of the fringe of society.

– 5 percent of people believe the real Paul McCartney died and was secretly replaced in the Beatles in 1966.

– 4 percent believe that shape-shifting reptilian people (a staple of Hollywood filmmaking) control the world by taking on human form.

– After decades of films around space travel, 7 percent of Americans still believe the Moon landing was faked.

– Even after nearly the entire scientific community has said otherwise, more than half of Americans still question whether there is a link between childhood vaccines and autism.
– One of the more bizarre findings is this one – 14 percent of people believe the CIA intentionally distributed crack cocaine in America’s inner cities in the 1980s.

– Almost a tenth of Americans, despite thousands of public health research reports to the contrary, believe that fluoride is added to our water supply for sinister reasons.

– 14 percent of people believe in Bigfoot.

– 15 percent believe either the media or the government adds secret mind-controlling technology to TV broadcast signals (which might explain some of those otherwise-hard-to-justify Nielsen ratings for certain television shows).

– And 15 percent believe the pharmaceutical industry conspires with physicians and medical communities to invent new diseases simply to make more money.

A few commentators from other parts of the world were comforted by the PPP survey and relieved that so few Americans actually line up behind some of the crazier conspiracy theories.

“Americans aren’t as crazy as we thought,” said one.

Well, again, maybe. But you can also look at some of these results and wonder: Just exactly what are kids learning in school that a significant part of the adult population still believes companies invent diseases just to make money; that you need a tinfoil hat in order to watch TV; or that the CIA distributed crack cocaine in American cities years ago? - USNews"

Rng That May Have Inspired Tolkiien

Lord of the Rings author was researching the story of the curse of a Roman ring for two years before starting Bilbo Baggins tale.
"The Hobbit Martin Freeman Tolkien ring exhibition
The Hobbit may have been the result of JRR Tolkien's fascination with the a real-life cursed ring story.
In what was once the housekeeper's office of a Tudor mansion in Hampshire, a very odd golden ring glitters on a revolving stand in a tall perspex column. In chapter five of The Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins finds a ring in the gloom of Gollum's cave. Not just any ring. "One very beautiful thing, very beautiful, very wonderful. He had a ring, a golden ring, a precious rin

A new exhibition opening today at The Vyne, now owned by the National Trust, raises the intriguing possibility that the Roman ring in the case, and the ring of power in JRR Tolkien's book The Hobbit, and in his Lord of the Rings trilogy, are one and the same.

As Dave Green, the property manager, explains, there's more to the story than the ring – an iron-age site with ancient mine workings known as "the Dwarf's Hill", a curse on the thief who stole the ring, and a strong link to Tolkien himself.

Tolkien was a professor of Anglo-Saxon at Oxford before he found fame as an author, with the publication of The Hobbit in 1937, and the first of the Rings trilogy in 1954. He certainly knew the story of the curse and the ring, and was researching the subject two years before he began work on The Hobbit.

The ring was in the collection of the Chute family – which for generations was interested in politics, collecting, and antiquarian research – for centuries before the house came to the National Trust in the 1930s.

"I was looking for the ring to show a visitor, and I walked right past the case with it – that's when I decided we really had to make more of this amazing thing," Green said. As well as the exhibition room, created with the help of the Tolkien Trust, the house now has a dwarf trail for children and a new playground with circular tunnels and green hillocks recalling Bilbo's home, Bag End.

The ring was probably found in 1785 by a farmer ploughing a few miles away within the walls of Silchester, one of the most enigmatic Roman sites in the country – a town which flourished before the Roman invasion, was abandoned by the 7th century and was never reoccupied.

There are no details of exactly when it was found, but historians assume the farmer sold it to the history loving wealthy family at The Vyne. It was a strikingly odd object, 12g of gold so large that it would only fit on a gloved thumb, ornamented with a peculiar spiky head wearing a diadem, and a Latin inscription reading: "Senicianus live well in God".

Reptilians UFOs at the funeral of Hugo Chávez?

Sort of interesting. From Lon at Phantoms and Monsters:
" The Hugo Chavez hysteria went to the 'extreme' level during his funeral. The epitaphs and reactions by the people attending was over-the-top for the most part. Now there are claims that the 'Reptilians' came to his funeral. Apparently, Chavez had a thing for the Reptilians and UFOs...so the following narrative caught my eye (translated):
I think the presence of this UFO airspace located precisely where he was conducting the funeral of Hugo Chavez says it all. This sighting was about to overshadow the importance of the event funeral. Although many of the witnesses of the sighting claim that the "aliens coming into the UFO", were laying the commander Chavez did know that face the beast which Yankee .... We would suggest that Chavez was a protege of these beings? Other opinions were raised that the angels who came to meet him and take him to the afterlife ... This sighting leaves many questions in the air.

This could confirm once again that we are not wrong with the approach of the previous post, so accurate linking of Venezuelan dictator ties to the occult .... because we know that is not alien beings coming from other planets .... who have no idea of the new world order and know they are not from another planet. That explains why we will be immortalized as mummified pharaohs of ancient Egypt under a pyramid, what these UFOs were doing there? ‘Haunted’ Car Parts Pulled from Fatal Crash For Sale on Craigslist

This is a weird one.

As you may remember, Jackass star Ryan Dunn drunkenly crashed his Porsche in West Goshen, Pennsylvania back in the summer of 2011, killing himself and his passenger.

And apparently, someone recovered some small parts from the crash and is attempting to sell them on Craigslist.

Joe.ie tipped me to the posting, which comes from Philadelphia. It offers up the parts (small enough to fit inside a shoebox) for $300.

Apparently, the original collector doesn’t want them anymore – because they may be haunted.

“A week after the accident I went to the accident and scooped up minor parts I saw lying on the ground. The parts are all remotely tiny, and all fit in a shoebox. I don’t want them anymor
e because weird shit has happened since I put it under my bed. I guess it’s because it’s a weird thing to have, but I was a huge Jackass fan and thought it would be a cool something to have. If you want proof they are his parts, I have pictures of the crash site I took myself,” reads the ad.

We’ve tried to contact the poster and will let you know if we find anything else out. I guess you really can find anything on Craigslist. - Web Pro News

Corpse Bride Trafficking

A county court in central China has sentenced four men to prison for digging up and selling corpses on the black market to enable "ghost marriages", a millennia-old custom of burying deceased bachelors alongside newly deceased wives so that they will not grow lonely in the afterlife.

On Saturday, the Xi'an Evening News reported that the Yanchuan county court in Yan'an City, Shanxi province, sentenced each of the men to more than two years in prison for stealing 10 female corpses, cleaning them up and counterfeiting their medical records to boost their prices, and selling them on the black market for a total of £25,000.
Ritual ghost marriages, which may date back to the 17th century BC, are increasingly rare in contemporary China – Mao Zedong tried to eliminate them when he assumed power in 1949 – but they are still practised in rural parts of Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan, Hebei and Guangdong provinces. Families often employ a matchmaker to help find a suitable spouse for their deceased loved ones.

The four men, with surnames Pang, Bai, He and Zhang, exhumed the corpses in the winter of 2011 from a smattering of arid, coal-rich counties in Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces.
The state-run Global Times newspaper reported in 2011 that an influx of coal money to parts of northern Shaanxi province bolstered the area's underground corpse trade, with a newly wealthy but superstitious demographic suddenly being able to afford high prices for desirable postmortem mates. Some are known to purchase their corpse brides straight from hospitals, where they cut deals with grieving families.

This is not the first time that ghost marriage intermediaries have fallen on the wrong side of the law. One woman died over the lunar new year in February 2012 and was sold by her family to the family of a recently deceased young man for about £3,700; soon afterwards, police caught a graverobber selling her twice-exhumed body to another family for slightly less.

In 2009, a grieving father in Xianyang City, also in Shaanxi province, paid a team of graverobbers £2,700 to find a suitable bride for his son, who had died in a car crash. They were arrested for exhuming the remains of a teenage girl who had killed herself not long after failing her college entrance exams.
According to the Global Times, less affluent families who desire ghost marriages may use a non-human proxy for the corpse bride, such as a silver statuette or a doughy human-shaped biscuit with black beans for eyes. Some may buy an old, rotten corpse at a discounted price, dress it in clothing and reinforce its skeleton with steel wire.

The tradition has its own set of customs and rituals, including postmortem marriages with sumptuous feasts and dowries, according to the report. - Guardian

"Miracles On The Set of The Bible?

Blockbuster miniseries The Bible has fast become one of the biggest hits on American TV, landing more than 13million viewers for its first episode.

But while its runaway success has taken the entertainment world by surprise, it has not come as a shock to its creators.

The producers have revealed that during its production, the show seemed to be marked by mysterious omens which they claim are evidence of 'the hand of God'.

These apparent miracles included a a sudden swarm of snakes around the base of the cross where Jesus was to be crucified, and a boy who emerged from the desert with part of Christ's costume which had been lost for four days.

British-born producer Mark Burnett told Entertainment Weekly that the series' success seemed almost preordained while it was being made.

'The hand of God was on this,' he said in an interview before the show's premiere last Sunday. 'The edit came together perfectly, the actors came together perfectly, it just comes to life.'

However, he claimed that it was not just the fact that filming in North Africa went smoothly that convinced him his production was blessed.

Mr Burnett, who is most famous for creating reality shows such as Survivor and produced The Bible along with his actress wife Roma Downey, described a number of 'weird things' which drew the attention of cast and crew during filming.

In one scene, filmed during a still night on the edge of the desert, Jesus tells the priest Nicodemus, 'The Holy Spirit is like the wind.'

According to Mr Burnett: 'At that moment, a wind, like as if a 747 was taking off, blew his hair, almost blew the set over and sustained for 20 seconds across the desert.

'Everyone just looked at everyone like, "What just happened?"'

Another notable occasion came during the filming of Jesus' crucifixion - one of the most risky scenes,
ue to the dangers involved in the mock execution.

The production had hired a 'snake wrangler' to keep the set free of dangerous reptiles, and he usually found one of two snakes per day.

But on the day the crucifixion was filmed, according to Mr Burnett, the handler found an unprecedented 48 venomous snakes crawling around the mountain.

Perhaps the most inexplicable happening came while they were filming the baptism of Jesus in a reservoir.

The producers were terrified when part of the actor's irreplaceable costume came off and floated away - but help came from an unlikely source.

'Four days later, a kid showed up from many, many, many miles away, who had been seeking us through the desert to return this to us,' Mr Burnett told EW.
'He didn't know what it was why he should seek us, but he felt he had to return it.'

The Bible is airing on the History Channel in two-hour chunks on Sunday nights, and has been the surprise winner in its timeslot. - Daily Mail

Shape-Shifting Jesus Described in Ancient Egyptian Text

Heard about this twice yesterday. Liked this from the Phantoms And Monsters newsletter the best. Lon is always complete!
"A newly deciphered Egyptian text, dating back almost 1,200 years, tells part of the crucifixion story of Jesus with apocryphal plot twists, some of which have never been seen before.

Written in the Coptic language, the ancient text tells of Pontius Pilate, the judge who authorized Jesus' crucifixion, having dinner with Jesus before his crucifixion and offering to sacrifice his own son in the place of Jesus. It also explains why Judas used a kiss, specifically, to betray Jesus — because Jesus had the ability to change shape, according to the text — and it puts the day of the arrest of Jesus on Tuesday evening rather than Thursday evening, something that contravenes the Easter timeline.

The discovery of the text doesn't mean these events happened, but rather that some people living at the time appear to have believed in them, said Roelof van den Broek, of Utrecht University in the Netherlands, who published the translation in the book "Pseudo-Cyril of Jerusalem on the Life and the Passion of Christ"(Brill, 2013).

Copies of the text are found in two manuscripts, one in the Morgan Library and Museum in New York City and the other at the Museum of the University of Pennsylvania. Most of the translation comes from the New York text, because the relevant text in the Pennsylvania manuscript is mostly illegible.

Pontius Pilate has dinner with Jesus

While apocryphal stories about Pilate are known from ancient times, van den Broek wrote in an email to LiveScience that he has never seen this one before, with Pilate offering to sacrifice his own son in the place of Jesus.

A researcher has deciphered a 1,200-year-old Coptic text that tells part of the Passion (the Easter story) with apocryphal plot twists, some of which have never been seen before. Here, a cross decoration from the text, of which there are two copies, the best preserved in the Morgan Library and Museum in New York City.

"Without further ado, Pilate prepared a table and he ate with Jesus on the fifth day of the week. And Jesus blessed Pilate and his whole house," reads part of the text in translation. Pilate later tells Jesus, "well then, behold, the night has come, rise and withdraw, and when the morning comes and they accuse me because of you, I shall give them the only son I have so that they can kill him in your place." [Who Was Jesus, the Man?]

In the text, Jesus comforts him, saying, "Oh Pilate, you have been deemed worthy of a great grace because you have shown a good disposition to me." Jesus also showed Pilate that he can escape if he chose to. "Pilate, then, looked at Jesus and, behold, he became incorporeal: He did not see him for a long time ..." the text read.
Pilate and his wife both have visions that night that show an eagle (representing Jesus) being killed.

In the Coptic and Ethiopian churches, Pilate is regarded as a saint, which explains the sympathetic portrayal in the text, van den Broek writes.

The reason for Judas using a kiss

In the canonical bible the apostle Judas betrays Jesus in exchange for money by using a kiss to identify him leading to Jesus' arrest. This apocryphal tale explains that the reason Judas used a kiss, specifically, is because Jesus had the ability to change shape.

"Then the Jews said to Judas: How shall we arrest him [Jesus], for he does not have a single shape but his appearance changes. Sometimes he is ruddy, sometimes he is white, sometimes he is red, sometimes he is wheat coloured, sometimes he is pallid like ascetics, sometimes he is a youth, sometimes an old man ..." This leads Judas to suggest using a kiss as a means to identify him. If Judas had given the arresters a description of Jesus he could have changed shape. By kissing Jesus Judas tells the people exactly who he is. [Religious Mysteries: 8 Alleged Relics of Jesus]

This understanding of Judas' kiss goes way back. "This explanation of Judas' kiss is first found in Origen [a theologian who lived A.D. 185-254]," van den Broek writes. In his work, Contra Celsum the ancient writerOrigen, stated that "to those who saw him [Jesus] he did not appear alike to all."

St. Cyril impersonationThe text is written in the name of St. Cyril of Jerusalem who lived during the fourth century. In the story Cyril tells the Easter story as part of a homily (a type of sermon). A number of texts in ancient times claim to be homilies by St. Cyril and they were probably not given by the saint in real life, van den Broek explained in his book.

Near the beginning of the text, Cyril, or the person writing in his name, claims that a book has been found in Jerusalem showing the writings of the apostles on the life and crucifixion of Jesus. "Listen to me, oh my honored children, and let me tell you something of what we found written in the house of Mary ..." reads part of the text.

Again, it's unlikely that such a book was found in real life. Van den Broek said that a claim like this would have been used by the writer "to enhance the credibility of the peculiar views and uncanonical facts he is about to present by ascribing them to an apostolic source," adding that examples of this plot device can be found "frequently" in Coptic literature.

Arrest on Tuesday

Van den Broek says that he is surprised that the writer of the text moved the date of Jesus' Last Supper, with the apostles, and arrest to Tuesday. In fact, in this text, Jesus' actual Last Supper appears to be with Pontius Pilate. In between his arrest and supper with Pilate, he is brought before Caiaphas and Herod.

In the canonical texts, the last supper and arrest of Jesus happens on Thursday evening and present-day Christians mark this event with Maundy Thursday services. It "remains remarkable that Pseudo-Cyril relates the story of Jesus' arrest on Tuesday evening as if the canonical story about his arrest on Thursday evening (which was commemorated each year in the services of Holy Week) did not exist!" writes van den Broek in the email.

A gift to a monastery ... and then to New York

About 1,200 years ago the New York text was in the library of the Monastery of St. Michael in the Egyptian desert near present-day al-Hamuli in the western part of the Faiyum. The text says, in translation, that it was a gift from "archpriest Father Paul," who, "has provided for this book by his own labors."

The monastery appears to have ceased operations around the early 10th century, and the text was rediscovered in the spring of 1910. In December 1911, it was purchased, along with other texts, by American financier J.P. Morgan. His collections would later be given to the public and are part of the
present-day Morgan Library and Museum in New York City. The manuscript is currently displayed as part of the museum's exhibition "Treasures from the Vault" running through May 5.

Who believed it?

Van den Broek writes in the email that "in Egypt, the Bible had already become canonized in the fourth/fifth century, but apocryphal stories and books remained popular among the Egyptian Christians, especially among monks."

Whereas the people of the monastery would have believed the newly translated text, "in particular the more simple monks," he's not convinced that the writer of the text believed everything he was writing down, van den Broek said.

"I find it difficult to believe that he really did, but some details, for instance the meal with Jesus, he may have believed to have really happened," van den Broek writes. "The people of that time, even if they were well-educated, did not have a critical historical attitude. Miracles were quite possible, and why should an old story not be true?" - Live Science

A True Ghost Story Old Man Hayes

OLD MAN HAYES

"This is a true story. When I was about twelve or so my family moved into a rural neighborhood called Hayes Glenn. It was some old farm land owned by a man named Mr. Hayes. We built a new home on five acres and moved in the winter of 1986. About a year or so later another house was being built next door to us. Being kids me and a good friend would hang out in the house while it was being built. One day we were just sitting in the unfinished house talking when we both heard foot steps coming down the hall right toward us. They were very loud because there was no carpet on the concrete foundation so they could clearly be heard. I looked down the hall and there was no one there. Thinking the owners were there we ran out of the house but I soon realized there was no body there.

A couple of weeks later I awoke up about two in the morning. My room was on the side of our house that overlooked the property that the house was being built on. I don't know why but I looked out of the window and clearly saw an old man standing outside of the house. I could see him in the moonlight. I went and woke my mom up but when she got to my room he was gone. Nothing else happened. The house was finished and a couple of years passed. I happened to be talking to a friend's dad who lived in the area. He was a police officer who, about 10 years before all of this, handled the case of old man Hayes...the farmer who had hung himself in a barn exactly were the neighbors house was built. JJ"

Katie Couric Has Strange Happenings At Home

One of my favorite people was in the news not presenting it!
"Katie Couric has become the focus of one strange investigation.

The NYPD is probing a series of mysterious 911 calls apparently originating from a phone line registered to Couric's late husband, Jay Monahan.

Monahan died in 1998 after a battle with colon cancer. But, according to the New York Daily News, his phone dials 911 every Tuesday around 2 a.m. There have been at least 10 instances of the calls since last month, according to the Daily News.

Couric relayed the bizarre story to her studio audience during a commercial break this week. She says she asked NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly to investigate the matter.

"So I called Ray Kelly, who I know just through the years seeing at different things. 'Ray, this is so weird but can you help me? I don’t know what to do,'" Couric told the audience, per an eyewitness account in the Daily News.

Whenever the mysterious calls are made, the police call back to check. In addition, a patrol car is sent to investigate. Couric told her audience that she always has a hard time getting back to sleep afterward.

Some experts believe "spoofing" is to blame for the calls. That's an illegal technique in which a hacker uses a device to hijack a phone line. Other celebrities who have fallen victim to the trick include Ashton Kutcher, Chris Brown, and Kim Kardashian. - Yahoo

Humanoid Encounter - Unicoi State Park, Georgia

Near where I grew up.Why do they never pick me?
"In the summer of 2009 my husband and I went camping in the Unicoi State Park, GA. One morning, around 4am, I woke up to go the the restroom. There was a building near the campsites that provided restroom and shower facilities. It was pitch black outside, except for the light from my lantern and the lights from the building. I went in, did my thing, and as I started to leave to walk back to my tent, I stopped walking - I had a feeling someone behind me. I turned around and I saw three figures standing in the woods behind the building, near another campsite on the hill in the back. They didn't seem to be doing anything but standing there. I thought it could have been the people from the campground on the hill, but why would they just be standing in the middle of the woods at 4am for no apparent reason?
When one of them turned and looked at me, I realized they weren't human. For one thing, the arms were too long and the bodies were too thin. Their skin had a pale glossy look, and they had a very large cranium with lumps all over the top of the scalp. They had huge black eyes that seemed to pierce right through me. I stand 5'3" tall, and they looked about one or two inches shorter than me. The one that saw me started to inch toward me, but I bolted back to my tent. When my husband asked me what was wrong, all I could say was "There are f**king aliens back there!" When he finally calmed me down, he had me stay in the tent while he went to go see what it was. He found nothing. I don't know if I had any missing time or not. It was around 5am when I was finally calm enough to leave the tent, with my husband. We had a cigarette and talked about my sighting. Then around 6am we got a fire going and cooked breakfast. That's really all I remember from that morning. The next night he said he saw a shadowy figure move outside. He didn't hear any footsteps. He looked up and saw the top cover on the tent move, as if someone pulled it aside to look in at us from above. When we woke up again later that night, the blankets on his side of the tent were wet - it started raining that night. My side was dry for the most part. I can't remember exactly which campsite we used, but I'm pretty sure it was lot #60. It was located directly across from the parking lot. I didn't see any signs of a craft nearby, but I did see the creatures. I know what I saw was real, as I was wide awake when I saw them. MM"

Lon From Phantoms On C2C

Being a big fan of both show and blog/newsletter I missed the show but here is thr report from the C2C Newsletter\" Lon Strickler, paranormal researcher and creator of the website Phantoms and Monsters, talked about his Bigfoot encounter, the nature of ghosts, remote viewing, and the current state of paranormal research.  As a collector of numerous reports concerning a wide range of paranormal phenomena, Strickler said that his goal is to "give people the benefit of the doubt" rather than pass judgement as to the veracity of their experiences.  "Some of the stories are pretty outrageous," he conceded, "but my thought is, if the person did not think it was real, I don't think they would have contacted me."  That said, Strickler explained that he usually tries to contact these witnesses before posting their story and, upon speaking to them, "most of these people are very sincere" about their paranormal experiences.

Regarding his 1981 Bigfoot encounter, Strickler recounted being on a fly fishing trip in Maryland when he noticed a stray dog amongst the weeds and then heard it barking and growling.  "All of a sudden, this dark hairy creature was bobbing up and down in the thicket," Strickler said.  briefly grew silent and then let out a yelp, which appeared to startle the creature as it quickly stood up.  "It was about seven or eight feet tall and had dark matted hair on its body," he recalled.  Unable to investigate further, since he'd been wearing waders into the water and couldn't follow the creature, Strickler returned to town and reported the sighting to the police. Oddly, he was told to return to the area, where he was amazed to see numerous state police cruisers and was subsequently told to get out of there."
