Phantoms and Monsters Presents The Squonk

From the Phantoms and Monsters Newsletter:
"Few people outside of Pennsylvania have ever heard of the quaint beast, which is said to be fairly common in the hemlock forests of that State. (Honestly, I was born and raised in Pennsylvania and I had never heard of this creature.) The range of the squonk is very limited. It has a very retiring disposition, generally traveling about at twilight and dusk. Because of its misfitting skin, which is covered with warts and moles, it is always unhappy; in fact it is said, by people who are best able to judge, to be the most morbid of beast. Hunters who are good at tracking are able to follow a squonk by its tear-stained trail, for the animal weeps constantly. When cornered and escape seems impossible, or when surprised and frightened, it may even dissolve itself in tears. Squonk hunters are most successful on frosty moonlight nights, when tears are shed slowly and the animal dislikes moving about; it may then be heard weeping under the boughs of dark hemlock trees. - "Fearsome Creatures of the Lumberwoods" - William T. Cox - 1910

Mr. J. P. Wentling, formerly of Pennsylvania, but now at St. Anthony Park, Minnesota, had a disappointing experience with a squonk near Mont Alto. Wentling who one fine day at the turn of the century hid near its home after observing it and laying a trap for it, he snatched it up into his bag. As he was returning to the local village to show his friends what he had found in the woods, he noticed the leather bag he was carrying dripping from several cracks in the bottom making it noticeably lighter and of a strange shape. As he set it down on the ground, the legend suggests he suspected some trickery, but as he untied the top a strange liquid very much like water (or tears) spilled onto the soil at his feet. Cursing his bad luck, Wentling returned back to the village with nothing but the tale of his adventure and a soaked bag. - Unexplainable.net

Etymology

The word psychic is derived from the Greek word psychikos ("of the mind" or "mental") and refers in part to the human mind or psyche (ex. "psychic turmoil"). French astronomer and spiritualist Camille Flammarion is credited as having first used the word psychic, while it was later introduced to the English language by Edward William Cox in the 1870s.[9]
Early seers and prophets

Elaborate systems of divination and fortune-telling date back to ancient times. Perhaps the most widely-known system of early civilization fortune-telling was astrology, where practitioners believed the relative positions of celestial bodies could lend insight into people's lives and even predict their future circumstances. Some fortune-tellers were said to be able to make predictions without the use of these elaborate systems (or in conjunction with them), through some sort of direct apprehension or vision of the future. These people were known as seers or prophets, and in later times as clairvoyants (French word meaning "clear sight" or "clear seeing") and psychics.

Seers formed a functionary role in early civilization, often serving as advisors, priests, and judges.[9] A number of examples are included in biblical accounts. The book of 1 Samuel (Chapter 9) illustrates one such functionary task when Samuel is asked to find the donkeys of the future king Saul.[10] The role of prophet appeared perennially in ancient cultures. In Egypt, the priests of Ra at Memphis acted as seers. In ancient Assyria seers were referred to as nabu, meaning "to call" or "announce".[9]..."

Former Devul Worshipper Claims The Birth Of A Snake

A police officer’s wife has claimed to have given birth to a seven-headed snake last week Thursday.

"Patience Tsabedze (27), a self-confessed former devil worshipper says she ‘gave birth’ to the large serpent after experiencing labour pains, yet she was not pregnant, on the evening of Thursday, July 7, 2011.

According to her, the labour pains were so severe that she decided to go to toilet and ‘push out’ whatever was troubling her.

She says the seven-headed snake then came out and upon seeing it at the base of the toilet, she screamed for help.
Her husband, Constable Mfanzile Malaza, rushed to the toilet to see what was happening and indeed saw the snake.

"He tried to kill it using a log but as he fought it, it hid inside the water and it was flushed away," she said during an interview at the government flat she shares with her cop husband.

The husband, when called at his workplace yesterday, also confirmed the incident and said he was shocked.

"It was my first time seeing such a snake, a seven-headed one with glittering eyes. I tried to kill it but it hid inside the toilet so we decided to flush it," he said.
decided to stop worshipping the devil. She claims that every week, strange things happen to her.

In an almost weekly basis, she vomits litres and litres of blood, which is accompanied by live worms, fish (hake) and spiders.

"Just a few days ago, I vomited live worms which I flushed in the toilet," she said.

Tsabedze says she is now born again and wants out of devil-worshipping but it is difficult. She says she is being attacked by demons almost every night because they (demons) do not want her to leave the ‘underworld’. - times.co.sz"...

Battle With "Psychic"

An interesting report:

"IT consultant shot himself after clairvoyant gave his suicide plans her blessing and 'invited him back from the afterlife for a cup of tea'

An IT consultant killed himself after a fortune teller gave her 'blessing' to his suicide plan - and told him to come back in the afterlife for a cup of tea, his son said yesterday.

Terence Day, 60, had spiralled into depression after struggling to find work and shot himself in the head just two weeks after seeing psychic Jane Stack.

During the session, he revealed he had planned his suicide and Mrs Stack told him: 'I would understand why you would do that,' an inquest heard.

Mr Day's son, Duncan, said outside the hearing that a CD recording of the session revealed Mrs Stack then said: 'You go with my blessing then,' and added, 'If you do die, come back and have a cup of tea and a chat with me.'

The inquest, in Truro, Cornwall, was told that she did nothing to prevent his death or report his intentions to his family or the authorities.

Mrs Stack, who uses the name Elizabeth English for her work, was subjected to a seven-month police inquiry into whether she had assisted his suicide, but was cleared of any criminal wrongdoing.

But his 35-year-old son criticised Mrs Stack for failing to prevent his father’s death. He said: 'She gave my father her blessing to kill himself.
'At one point in the recording, I heard her say, “If you do die, come back and have a cup of tea and a chat with me.”

'I rang her the day I found out about the CD and she was very unapologetic. She was cold. He went to her for reassurance and she gave him the wrong type.

'She was in a position of trust – people go to her when they are down for guidance – it's not a chance for her to just say what they want to hear.

'She should have raised the alarm. If I'd have known I could have spoken to my dad and perhaps talked him round. The outcome could have been very different.'
The inquest heard how Mr Day, of Bradley Stoke, Bristol, was depressed after struggling to find work for over two years.

Desperate for advice, he searched the internet for clairvoyants and arranged a meeting with Mrs Stack.

After the reading, Mr Day phoned police and told them he was going to take his life. When they responded, officers were greeted with an answerphone message saying they would have to speak to a clairvoyant if they wanted to contact him.

Mr Day’s body was found in a field in Penzance, Cornwall, on July 2 last year, opposite a bungalow he had rented for a week-long break.

During a heated exchange with his son during the hour-long inquest, Mrs Stack said:
‘I was thinking that this is his free will. I had to show acceptance.’

She said her training as a former Samaritan instructed her not to break confidences and added her role was akin to that of a ‘magician’ who made people ‘happy and upbeat’.

His son said: ‘So when someone tells you they’re going to kill themselves, you just do nothing.’ She replied: ‘I’m an entertainer.’

Detective Constable Eavan Clarke told the hearing: ‘The CD initially changed the complexion of the investigation – if it was an assisted suicide.’

But inquiries found there was no evidence of a third-party involvement.
The coroner recorded a verdict of suicide." - dailymail

Teleporting/Out of Body Experience

"Teleportation is often confused with out-of-body experiences (OBEs). An OBE is the movement of the soul or subconscious (electromagnetic radiation) from one location or dimension to another, while the entire physical body is relocated in teleportation."

Dr.Goldberg continues to explain
"...We can experience teleportation during the dream state. It differs from regular dreams and lucid dreams in that your body physically leaves the bed and travels to another location on a different dimension.

If you are observing someone actually being teleported, you would see their body slowly fade away and disappear. Nothing else in the environment would be altered. The person undergoing teleportation would experience an increase in their energy vibrating at high speed, accompanied by a tingling, buzzing sensation and/or feeling of spiraling upward. Often a "pop" sound emanates from the top of head."

http://www.drbrucegoldberg.com/Teleportation2.htm

He gives these examples

In one incident, a woman was ejected from a car, and laying on a road. She used Goldberg's post hypnotic suggestion to teleport herself safely into her living room, and drivers on the road reportedly said they saw her body disappear. An older case from the early 1900s involved two brothers from Bologna, Italy who were said to be able to teleport themselves to various locations around town. To test the boys, a Bishop locked them in their bedroom, and "even with all these precautions the boys disappeared within a few minutes," Goldberg recounted.

Message in Crop Circle

I have long believed that many of the authentic crop circles contain messages for us.not at all capable of being decoded by me..but some linguist must be able to, as were the ancient languages...Any way, this article sounded good...

ASCII Code in Italian Crop Formation

© 2011 by Linda Moulton Howe

"June 28, 2011 Poirino, Italy - Two extraordinary 2011 crop formations have been reported in the northwestern town of Poirino, Italy, on June 13 and 20, 2011. Poirino is a town in the Province of Turin in the Italian Piedmont region located about 12 miles (20 km) southeast of Turin (Torino) where the famous Christ Shroud is kept. Poirino has also been the location of other crop formations over the past decade, including one on June 11, 2010. Its estimated size was 150 meters by 150 meters. That large, 6-petaled crop formation - very similar to the June 13, 2011, pattern - was reported to represent the lunar cycle for a 6-month period...

What emerged a year later on June 20, 2011, was a 7-petal pattern that has a 7-pointed star around a ring at its center. The seven petals are divided by seven straight lines of dark (standing crop) and light (flattened crop) patterns of seven circles.
Strob (George Costanza) on Circle Chasers Facebook writes: “The Poirino 2011formation contains some coded information. Among other things, the outer rim contains the names ‘Enki Ea,’ coded in ASCII. These are names of a Sumerian god: Lord of the earth, god of water, creator of mankind.”

Wikipedia says the name Enki translates to “Lord of the Earth.” His sacred number was 40 and Enki was linked to the constellation of stars known as the Square of Pegasus. It is Enki who decides to create humankind out of clay and blood to be servants to the Gods. Enki was also known as Ea in Akkadian and Babylonian mythology..."
