Think Two Headed Dragons Are Cute?

News Flash!

"July 22) -- A dragon with two heads and six legs sounds like something out of Greek mythology, not a pet. But for Todd Ray, owner of California's Venice Beach Freakshow, that's just what Pancho and Lefty is -- or shall we say, are.

The 2 1/2-month-old two-headed bearded dragon arrived safely at Ray's West Coast doorstep last week, shipped from its birthplace just outside of Dayton, Ohio, through an animal transport company.

As with most of his freak animals, Ray discovered the conjoined-twin lizard on an online forum. And like most of us, the original owner had never seen anything like it. After two months of caring for the remarkable creature, the hobbyist breeder had grown attached to it, but Ray says he persuaded him to make the sale.

"I told him, 'This is what we do. These are the types of animals that we're used to taking care of and that we love to bring to the public so that they can see these living miracles.'"

Forbidden Archeology

Unorthodox researcher Michael Cremo discussed recently on Coast to Coast AM. his continuing work in "forbidden archaeology",(Exploring the artifacts and discoveries that don't fit into conventional timelines and theories.)

He first encountered the idea of "extreme human antiquity" while studying the ancient wisdom traditions, particularly the ancient Sanskrit texts of India. "I found hundreds of reports of archaeological evidence...human bones, human artifacts, and human footprints many millions of years old," he detailed. For instance, Mary Leakey discovered human footprints 3.5 million years old that are very much like modern human footprints, in contrast to the fossil skeleton of "Lucy," from around the same era which has feet that are more ape-like. This type of evidence led Cremo to conclude that Darwinian evolution was wrong, and that Homo sapiens co-existed with earlier proto-humans.

He shared details about William Meister's discovery of an apparent human shoe print in a slab of rock in Utah which also contained a crushed trilobite fossil in the bottom of the print. Cremo noted that such trilobites date back to a period of around 600 million years ago.(Pictured from:http://www.forbiddenhistory.info/?q=node/93 )

Even more ancient are metallic balls with grooved sides found in an African mine, which are over 2 billion years old, he said.

Cremo also spoke about "vimanas," flying craft described in ancient Sanskrit. Some of the vehicles were constructed of metal and were seen in the physical dimension, while others were made of more subtle essences and traveled in ethereal realms, he recounted. According to the 20th century channeled book Vaimanika Shastra some of the vimanas had mercury-based propulsion systems. A text from around 1,000 years ago on ancient Indian architecture supports this notion, and also described the ancient use of robots, he noted"

Shadow People. More Frequent Sightings?

"What was that?" "Did You SEE ANYTHING There?".."Just thick and dark but no features." Something like that it seems is more common the past few tears as sightings by people and Paranormal professionals have increased.Skeptics say it is an illusion or just imagination..According to several researchers, it is happening more frequently or being reported more frequently.

In Stephen Wagner's About Paranormal,"...by almost any definition, shadow people are somewhat different than ghost phenomena. Whereas ghost apparitions are almost always a misty white, vaporish or have a decidedly human form and appearance (very often with discernable "clothing"), shadow beings are much darker and more shadow-like. In general, although the shadow people often do have a human outline or shape, because they are dark, the details of their appearance is lacking. This is in contrast to many ghost sightings in which the witness can describe the ghost's facial features, style of clothing and other details. The one detail most often noted in some shadow being sightings are their glowing red eyes."

A definition from wikipedia"Shadow people (also known as shadow figures, shadow beings, shadow men, or shadow folk) are supernatural shadow-like figures of both modern folklore and paranormal popular culture that believers describe as dark humanoid forms or evasive specters that are seen mostly in peripheral vision."
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_people

The Official Shadow People Archives elaborates with "... Sometimes it appears as the mere silhouette of a person, usually male, but generally lacking any other characteristics of gender. However, in no way does the description end there. There are “hatted” shadow beings, hooded shadows, cloaked ones, and solid or wispy, smoky types. Some are seen only from the waist up. Others clearly have legs that are seen fleeing from their observers. They dart into corners, through walls, into closets, or behind television sets, bushes, and buildings. Sometimes they simply fade into the dark recesses of the night. Lacking in the description is one common denominator unifying the many different types of shadow people that enter our world…except that they are “intensely dark.” But even then, there are exceptions. ..."

News Better Not Seen

It has been common practice in most areas that the TV News Crew regularly go through an almost endless list if murder and mayhem each evening. This however must top them all...

"Live on a Florida TV broadcast of July 15, 1974, newswoman Christine Chubbock announced: "And now, in keeping with Channel 40's policy of always bringing you the latest in blood & guts, and in living color, you're going to see another first -- attempted suicide." She pulled out a revolver and shot herself in the head, dying 14 hours later at a hospital."

Is It King Arthue's Round Table:?

Some believe the tale of King Arthur to be a myth, others believe it to be true. This is an interesting find...
" Historians claim to have found the site of Camelot Photo: photolibrary.com

Researchers exploring the legend of Britain’s most famous Knight believe his stronghold of Camelot was built on the site of a recently discovered Roman amphitheatre in Chester.

Legend has it that his Knights would gather before battle at a round table where they would receive instructions from their King.

*

But rather than it being a piece of furniture, historians believe it would have been a vast wood and stone structure which would have allowed more than 1,000 of his followers to gather.

Historians believe regional noblemen would have sat in the front row of a circular meeting place, with lower ranked subjects on stone benches grouped around the outside.

They claim rather than Camelot being a purpose built castle, it would have been housed in a structure already built and left over by the Romans.

Camelot historian Chris Gidlow said: “The first accounts of the Round Table show that it was nothing like a dining table but was a venue for upwards of 1,000 people at a time.

“We know that one of Arthur’s two main battles was fought at a town referred to as the City of Legions. There were only two places with this title. One was St Albans but the location of the other has remained a mystery.”

The recent discovery of an amphitheatre with an execution stone and wooden memorial to Christian martyrs, has led researchers to conclude that the other location is Chester.

Mr Gidlow said: “In the 6th Century, a monk named Gildas, who wrote the earliest account of Arthur’s life, referred to both the City of Legions and to a martyr’s shrine within it. That is the clincher. The discovery of the shrine within the amphitheatre means that Chester was the site of Arthur’s court and his legendary Round Table.”

Was It Nessie?

The debate continues as to whether the famed Loch Ness "Nessie" actually exists. Some belief seems to be waning.I still watch for the proff however as do these folks who believe it was Nessie in their picture.
"...Popular interest and belief in the animal has fluctuated since it was brought to the world's attention in 1933. Evidence of its existence is anecdotal, with minimal and much-disputed photographic material and sonar readings. The scientific community regards the Loch Ness Monster as a modern-day myth, and explains sightings as a mix of hoaxes and wishful thinking. Despite this, it remains one of the most famous examples of cryptozoology. The legendary monster has been affectionately referred to by the nickname Nessie[4] (Scottish Gaelic: Niseag)[1] since the 1950s."(Wikipedia)

..."A couple enjoying a romantic weekend in the Highlands believe they may have had a close encounter with the Loch Ness Monster.
Experts are now investigating this latest photograph, which was taken by accident, to establish if it is in fact the Loch's most famous resident.
Ian Monckton, from Solihull, took his fiance Tracey Gordon to a cottage in Invermoriston near the loch, to celebrate her 30th birthday. On their way back to the village at around 11pm they pulled into a lay-by. The drivers window was wound down and before the couple stopped their car they heard a commotion in the water. Using the car headlights and the flash from his camera to check their footing on the rocky shores of the loch, Ian unwittingly recorded the above picture which he hopes could be the elusive monster.
"There is clearly a very large shape in the water that looks aquatic a few metres out from where I was standing and you just see the tips of the trees lower down the slope to the loch in the photo," said Ian. "Myself and Tracey were always quite sceptical about Nessie but after having this experience I would say we now have a very open mind on the matter. "It was the highlight of our trip. ..."

Scientific Evidence Of "Unexplained Knocks"

Perhaps in the near future, paranormal activity will not be viewed as sceptical as many Scientists decree.here is a new move for the field...

"Scientific evidence of poltergeist knocking?

Has science finally established a paranormal effect?

Paranormal rappings associated with apparent poltergeist activity have been described for many hundreds of years. It is only now that an interesting pattern has been discovered within the fine detail of the paranormal rapping sounds. No explanation can be found for this pattern at present.

The current edition of the Journal of the Society for Psychical Research (SPR), a learned publication dating back to 1882, carries an article by scientist Dr Barrie Colvin B.Sc., Ph.D., showing instrumental evidence for an inexplicable and objective banging sound detected in recordings made during alleged poltergeist activity.

Whereas raps and knocking sounds produced by ordinary means exhibit a normal acoustic pattern, those recorded in alleged poltergeist cases show quite a different sound signature.(picture from article)
Dr Colvin has analysed recordings of alleged poltergeist knocking obtained from around the world over a 40-year period. The earliest was a recording made by a local physician at Sauchie (Scotland) in 1960 and the most recent was obtained from a poltergeist case at Euston Square, London in 2000.

Whilst the two types of rap sound rather similar, they are actually acoustically different, although the effect is only made apparent when the recordings of raps are submitted to detailed analysis.

The sample involved 10 separate recordings recorded on different recording apparatus.

In each of the recordings, when subjected to acoustic analysis, a particular sound pattern is detected which so far remains unexplained. Attempts to replicate this pattern in ordinary ways have so far been unsuccessful.

The essential difference between these raps and those produced by normal means lies in the details of their sound envelope.
In the case of a normal rap, the sound (which often only lasts a few milliseconds) starts loudly and decays over a period of time. The loudest part of the sound is right at the beginning. In the case of a poltergeist rap, the loudest part is near the beginning of the sound - but not at the very beginning. The rapping sound starts relatively quietly and works up to a maximum before it then starts to decay. This effect has been seen in all ten of the poltergeist cases studied.

The question arises as to how such a sound is generated. There is evidence which points to the sound arising from within the structure of a material rather than from the surface of it, as would be the case with a normally-produced rapping sound. This phenomenon will be examined further in future investigations of poltergeist activity.

Dr Colvin states: "Ever since my personal involvement in the investigation of a rapping poltergeist at Andover, Hampshire, in which it was absolutely clear that no normal explanation could account for the observed phenomena, I wondered whether the recorded raps were in any way different to those produced by normal methods. It is now clear that they are indeed different".
Among the samples submitted for analysis were recordings made in the famous Enfield poltergeist case in north London during 1977-79.

Dr Colvin’s research is published in his article ‘The Acoustic Properties of Unexplained Rapping Sounds’ in the Journal of the Society for Psychical Research [2010] Vol 73.2 Number 899 pp 65-93."

A Bit Of Trivia not Paranormal

Happy Birthday to Spam. No, not the Email kind..the old fashioned kind..
"July 5th boasts a somewhat dubious birthday: Spam. On this date in 1937, Hormel Foods introduced the unique meat product to the world. The curious food with the strange name went on to acquire cult status, inspiring a Monty Python sketch and musical, Spamalot, a book of haikus about Spam, and not one, but two festivals devoted to celebrating the product."

WWII Vets introduced it to many of their families, along with SOS or dried Beef Gravy by the other name..I loved both as a child and even still do!

Lucky Or What?

When I was a child, I remember looking through thousands of clovers to find a single 4 leaf "Good Luck" Clover. One of my aunts would walk up and just pick one...This guy had never seen one.
"Four-leaf clover found on impaled crash survivor's back

None of Raymond Curry's major organs were damaged despite him being impaled on a fence post in Northumberland

A four-leaf clover was found stuck to the back of a driver who survived a crash which left him impaled on a post.

Raymond Curry, 20, was driving his Vauxhall Corsa when it overturned and rolled through a fence near his home in Cramlington, Northumberland.

He was flown to hospital still impaled on the piece of wood, which had missed all his vital organs.

Doctors later found the clover - a symbol of good luck - stuck to his back under his clothes.

Two other fence posts had pierced the wrecked hatchback car, but missed him by inches.

Mr Curry underwent surgery to have the stake and part of his bowel removed.
He said: "I know how lucky I am to be alive.

I'd never even seen a four-leaf clover until this happened, so it was good timing I suppose."
Raymond Curry Mr Curry says he had never seen a four-leaf clover before

Paramedic Jane Peacock, from the Great North Air Ambulance, treated Mr Curry at the scene.

She said: "It gave me a good chuckle when I heard afterwards about the four-leaf clover.

"At the scene he was stable, but you do not know what is happening internally. I am delighted he has done so well.

"The fence posts had impaled him. He was absolutely remarkable as he was fully conscious."

The four-leaf clover is now mounted on Mr Curry's bedroom wall following the crash on 13 June.
